Design Influences

Brutalism
Rooted in the belief that architectural design should prioritize functionality and honesty. Defined by geometric shapes, clean lines, and an emphasis on craftsmanship. The use of through joinery in this piece was pulled from these principles.

Mid-Century Modern
Formed in the optimism of a post-war world with the belief that good design is an essential aspect of good living. Defined by clean, uncluttered lines, organic forms, an energetic spirit, and pop art colors. The simplistic but engagin form as well as the pop of red were pulled from these principals
Eames Office by Charles and Ray Eames
Guillerme ET Chambron
Designers Robert Guillerme and Jacques Chambron created clever, quirky, but livable designs. They aimed to create furniture that people would use, not just look at, but also added decorative flourishes to enhance designs.
