I spent my Fall ‘25 semester in London studying Product and Furniture Design at the University of the Arts London, Chelsea College of Arts. I also spent the semester exploring London and taking in the city's beauty and its museums.

Unit 5 Pt. 1

The goal of this assignment was to encourage us to think about product life cycles and how materials can be repurposed and reused. With a partner, we were given two weeks to design and build a new piece of furniture using only found items.

Heavily inspired by the curved rocker pieces we found, my partner and I decided to use our design to explore physical and visual movement.

Our final design was made up of three different styles of chair legs cut down to form our new legs, the stretchers for the seat, and the rungs, pre-existing chair rockers used as such, and upholstery and cotton straps were used to weave a seat.
